Located right in the heart of Las Vegas at the well-known Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino, The Auto Collections is one of the city’s top tourist attractions. Visitors to this 125,000 feet showroom don’t need to be car-struck to enjoy the spectacular range of old, classy and absolutely classic models available. The variety of cars is constantly changing as the showroom regularly receives new cars into its collection of approximately 250 vehicles. As a result, more than 3000 people visit The Auto Collections daily.
An important thing to remember is that The Auto Collections, which is situated on the fifth floor of the hotel’s parking area, is not simply a museum to view a collection of cars. Anybody can purchase a car in the collection – provided, of course, that they have the right kind of money being asked for these treasures! So, if someone has a dream to drive out of Las Vegas in a classic red Ferrari, The Auto Collections is the perfect place to begin!
Anybody who visits the Collection is struck by the wonderful craftsmanship that was used to create these cars. From Chrysler Sedans from the late 1930’s, a mid 60’s Ford Mustang Fastbacks or a 1928 Mercedes Benz, visitors will be awed by the lines and beauty of these machines.
The showroom is divided into several different spaces, each displaying cars from different categories. For example, the Grand Salon offers visitors the opportunity to see up close truly classic models such as Dusenberg, Rolls-Royce, Isotta Fraschini and Aston Martin. This is the place to marvel over the quality and high standards of workmanship that was put into creating these cars. Another area worth visiting is the main floor which offers practically any collectible car in world from all the top names in the industry, including BMW, Harley Davidson, Lincoln, Locomobile, Jaguar and many others. From antiques to classics, from celebrity cars to movie star vehicles, there is something for everyone at The Auto Collections.
The showroom also displays utility cars from bygone days, including classic taxis, antique buses, pick up trucks and even fire engines. Visitors can also catch a close up look of the French taxi, dated from 1908 that was featured in the film version of the classic story, “My Fair Lady”.
This location is an excellent spot to bring groups of car fundies, automobile clubs or other interested parties. Accommodation and other traveling details can be arranged independently or as a convenient deal through the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino. The staff members on location are particularly knowledgeable about the collection and will be able to supply past information, prices, and even anecdotes about each and every car – making the visit a truly unique and educational experience.
Entrance fees to The Auto Collections are very reasonable, with special prices for students and seniors. The Collection is open to the public every day of the week from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm. This is truly a great way to spend the day in Vegas, especially for those looking for an extra something to do away from the bustle of the Strip.
