The Blue Man Group was founded by Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton and Chris Wink. The three had been friends for quite some time when the idea for the Blue Man Group began. This relatively simple idea resulted in a truly unique and entertaining show which was an Off-Broadway hit and has since taken Las Vegas by storm.
Audience members are integrated into the show from the moment they enter the theater. Once seated, each guest receives crepe paper to be used as decorations from headbands to arm bands. Guests are then encouraged to join in on cheers and chants creating a tribal atmosphere within the theater. They are often recognized by the cast throughout the show and become a part of the show itself.
Throughout the performance audience members are treated to musical numbers performed on instruments invented from everyday items. Only a truly brilliant musical mind would come up with the idea to use such things as instruments. They range from things as simple as barrels to elaborate pipes twisted together to create a unique percussion instrument. Other props used during the show include Jello-O, marshmallows, paint, and lots of tubes. The three Blue Men are constantly in sync as the show progresses and the backup cast members never miss a beat or chord. This is truly a remarkable experience and a must-see show for anyone visiting the Las Vegas area.
