Mention the words “topless revue” to anyone who knows anything about Las Vegas and you’ll immediately hear the response, Crazy Girls. This dazzling show has changed and grown with the times and is still a Vegas favorite. It began in 1987 as a “stag” show and has evolved into one of the most popular couple shows in the country. It has also featured one of the most controversial advertising campaigns of any Vegas production. The revealing billboard is definitely eye catching, featuring g-string clad dancers with their backsides greeting the crowds. Crazy Girls has featured more than 100 dancers since it opened and one of the original dancers, Karen Raider, is now the show’s manager.
The show itself is just what you’d expect from a topless revue. No frills, no dazzling special effect. The show consists of eight lip synching dancers doing what they do best. Regardless of their costumes, or lack thereof, they are truly talented dancers who know how to work the crowd. The songs are updated often to reflect the changes in the music industry and the choreography changes accordingly. Comedian Joe Trammel opens each night with a bit of laughter to relax the audience and get them ready for the sultry show to come.
The Crazy Girls show takes place in the Mardi Gras Pavilion at the Riviera Hotel. The theater seats 400 with a mix of booths and tables to make the audience comfortable. Many celebrities have visited the pavilion to take in the Crazy Girls show including Magic Johnson, Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, Tom Jones and Roseanne. It’s often at the top of the list of places to visit for anyone staying in Las Vegas . Click here for our review of Riviera Hotel & Casino
