Construction on the Hoover Dam began in 1931 and was completed in 1935. To this day it is considered one of the greatest engineering feats in the world and has left a never-ending legacy of success in America . A total of 94 men lost their lives during the construction of this massive structure which spans Black Canyon and overlooks the Colorado River from more than 700 feet. It is a main source of energy for Nevada , California and Arizona and brought life into the Nevada desert by diverting water into outlying areas. The Deluxe Hoover Dam tour is the best way to experience this historic site. First, you will board the luxury motorcoach for a comfortable ride from Las Vegas enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. The coach will stop for a wonderful buffet lunch at the Hacienda.
