The Grand Canyon National Park , with over 1.2 million acres, is no doubt the greatest of the natural Seven Wonders of the World . It averages 4,000 feet in depth along this 277 mile landscape with 5,000 feet at its deepest level and 15 miles at it’s widest. The Grand Canyon is home to two very distinct ecosystems. The south rim displays the magnificence of desert life with plants and animals that have learned to adapt to the climate. The north rim offers trees and wildlife that flourish in the wetter climate on that side of the canyon.
