Folies Bergere ’s long-running history and consistent rave reviews (40,000 audience members every month can’t be wrong!) hail from the simple fact that the show revolves around the classic Las Vegas image: the beautiful, talented showgirl, bedecked and bejeweled from head-to-toe. With an amazing cast of dancers and singers, as well as the talent of award-winning choreographer Jerry Jackson, Les Folies delights and surprises all ages with impeccable formations, timing, singing, dancing, comedy and fully-developed, over-the-top themes for each act and number. Special effects and details all over the stage add to the drama and effect of the show: smoke, lights, mirrors, streamers, stage sets and feathery plumes make for an eye-pleasing and unforgettable experience.
Musical numbers are wide-ranging, and include plenty of musical styles, from the traditional French Can-Can to newer musical additions, such as Latin Mambo music. Though Folies has been around for a long time, the show is never stale: though the theme remains the same, the repertoire is constantly changing and evolving to keep the audience on its toes. One new number features star singer Dan O’Brien, who sets the stage with his voice and takes the audience on a historical journey back to the 1940s “Classic Vegas” and vintage Tropicana. One number in this act, “Pin-Ups,” features singer Traci Ault who is dressed to look like the famous ‘40s starlet, Betty Grable.
