Highland Falls is located about 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. The course is ideal for players looking for an affordable yet quality round of golf. In addition, the course features a full driving range and practice putting green, golf shop, clubhouse, and restaurant.
The par-72, 6,512 yard course is situated at an elevation of 3,053 feet. The rolling hills and panoramic views of the Las Vegas Valley add to the overall playing experience. The open layout isn’t as challenging to expert players but can prove to be difficult for novice and intermediate players. The four par 5s all measure more than 520 yards. Two of the par 4s, the 4th and 6th holes, plays 432 and 421 yards respectively. The other eight holes all play less than 390 yards.
However, the elevation changes, fairway bunkering, and bunkered greens add a degree of difficulty to the holes. Three of the four par 3s play less than 170 yards and the 14th hole plays 206 yards. From this tee, one of the highest golfing points in the Las Vegas Valley , players can look down to the southeast and see the entire city. The par-4 dogleg right, 18th hole plays 387 yards. Water protects the tee to the green on the right and the left is protected by landscaping. The green is well guarded by twin sloping bunkers on the left and a lake on right.
The Highlander restaurant is open daily for breakfast and lunch and provides counter service throughout the day. The relaxing atmosphere is enhanced by views of cascading waterfalls flowing into a calm pond. The Back 9 Menu is a specialty menu for those wanting a quick bite at the turn. Private and intimate functions can be held at the Highlander for up to 100 guests.
