Attractions
• Pahrump Valley Winery - Nevada's only winery offers a little bit of everything. In addition to their red and white wines, the winery has a 196-berth RV park, an outdoor stage and dance floor, a pool and clubhouse, and a fine-dining restaurant. Tastings and tours of the winery are offered every day between 10am and 4pm.
• Death Valley National Park - Located just outside of Pahrump, Death Valley is a 3.3 million-acre mostly-arid park, containing the lowest point in the continental United States. Visitors can explore the area by driving, hiking, climbing, or riding motorbikes through the park. Sights include a vast range of geological formations and floral and fauna.
• The Chicken Ranch - One of several legal, licensed brothels in the area, the Chicken Ranch, located just outside of Pahrump, is modeled after its namesake in Texas. The facilities include private bungalows and a bar with a private entrance for those not wishing to enter the brothel.
Visiting Pahrump
Pahrump is about an hour's drive from Las Vegas and about four hours from Los Angeles. The town is the nearest city to the entrance of Death Valley National Park as well as near Nevada's Spring Mountain National Recreation Area. It makes a convenient base for hikers, rock climbers, and other outdoor enthusiasts.
