The Primm Valley Golf Club features two award-winning courses designed by renowned golf architect Tom Fazio. The Lakes Course and Desert Course are rated in the top 100 public courses in the United States . Located 35 minutes south of Las Vegas , both courses offer plenty of challenges and natural scenic views that make it tough to decide which course to visit. The 7,131 yard, par-72 Desert course opened in May 1998. The layout’s desert landscaping is a drastic contrast to the Lakes tropical-themed design. Golfers are surrounded by palm and mesquite trees, lively cactus, glistening waterfalls, and desert wildflowers. The course is also more challenging. Players will be faced with narrow fairways with elevation changes and bunkered large greens. Waste bunkers protect the fairways on seven holes and water comes into play on five holes. The highlight of the course is the 389 yard, par-4 no. 6. Known as “ Desert Island ,” desert runs right up to the green from the middle left and continues in the front and to the back right. Players need a good second shot to stay out the waste area.
Golf professionals are on hand to help you improve your game at the 22-acre ESPN Golf School affiliated practice facility. Amenities include a double-ended circular driving range, target greens, chipping and pitching greens with sand bunkers, and practice putting greens. The use of the facility is complimentary with your green fees prior to your round. Also on the Primm Valley site is a top-notch golf academy. Various instructional packages are available including
individual and group lessons, playing lessons, golf clinics, seminars, and all facets of club repairing. A private lesson tee and three practice greens with chipping areas and bunkers are part of purchased instructional packages.
Designed to compliment the two Primm golf courses, the clubhouse accommodates all of visitors needs. The full-service restaurant and lounge serves breakfast and lunch daily to satisfy any taste buds. The patio which overlooks the Lakes par-4 16 th is also available for seating. Box lunches and catered meals can also be arranged for groups.
You can stop by the pro shop for all of your golfing needs. You’ll find the latest brand name clothing from Ashworth, Adidas, Cutter & Buck, and Nike for both men and women. The pro shop staff can custom fit your golf equipment. You can also rent top of the line rental clubs at the shop.
