Blame it on Rio... it’s hard not to indulge at this Las Vegas hotel with its lively Brazilian atmosphere. Located across from the Palms a mile off the Las Vegas Strip, the Rio offers gaming, shopping and dining in the Masquerade Village, modelled after a Rio de Janeiro neighbourhood. Guests can shop until they drop at over 60,000 square-feet of boutiques and gamble at the huge casino featuring over 1000 slot and video poker machines, a race and sports book and dozens of table games.
The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino offers over 2,500 spacious suites in two towers. Along with all the standard amenities, accommodations feature floor-to-ceiling windows and separate vanity and dressing areas. The 1600 square-foot Masquerade suites feature stunning panoramic views of the city and master bedrooms with walk-in showers and whirlpool tubs. The hotel also offers ample meeting and banquet space, business and wedding services and complimentary valet and on-site parking.
Guests have access to seasonal pool facilities that include four swimming pools, Jacuzzis, rental cabanas and poolside dining. For a fee, adults can enjoy the Brazilian-style Sapphire pool, featuring bikini-clad waitresses and DJs providing poolside entertainment. Other racy entertainment includes the Chippendales male dance revue as well as some of the hottest bars and nightclubs in Vegas. And the popular free Show in the Sky features swinging performers suspended from colourful Carnaval floats above the Masquerade Village.
The dining options at the Rio range from authentic Indian and savoury Cantonese to Italian classic cuisine and all-American favourites. The Carnival World Buffet offers incredible variety with over 300 menu items and more than 70 homemade desserts prepared by Randy Sebastien, one of the top pastry chefs in the U.S. The Rio also features the only all-you-can-eat seafood buffet in Las Vegas.
