Tournament Players Club (TPC) at the Canyons gives players the opportunity to test their game at an actual PGA Tour venue. Designed by Raymond Floyd and Bobby Weed, the course meanders through the rugged canyons and arroyos of northwest Las Vegas . A striking and expansive clubhouse, with fine dining at The Grille, welcomes players before and after the round. Additional amenities include a 10th tee snack shop, an outdoor patio with views of the 18th hole, elegant banquet accommodations, fully-equipped golf shop, and locker room facilities.
The desert layout blends beauty and challenge unlike any other in Nevada . Although the Canyons were built over several hundred acres, only 110 acres of irrigated land exists earning it a “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” award. Players will be surrounded by native wash areas and natural vegetation with unmatched views of the picturesque Red Rock Canyon and the bright lights of the Vegas Strip. One of the most difficult holes is the 196 yard, par-3 no. 2 which plays down to a green set along a canyon floor by a fieldstone wall. The 365-yard, par-4 no. 14 doglegs right alongside a canyon. The drive must be hit blindly over a canyon on a shelf above the tee. Adding to the challenge is the long and shallow green.
In 2007, TPC Canyons will open its door to the Tour Academy. Like its predecessors, the academy will offer the most extensive curriculum of golf training available in Las Vegas.
