The beautiful Italian-inspired Bellagio Hotel and Casino is home to the lovely and serene Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Garden. Located just off of the hotel's lobby, the 14,000-square foot conservatory houses over 7500 plants, including orchids, ferns, lilies, and an array of exotic, tropical specimens. Plants come from all over North America and are cared for in a separate 27,000-square foot staging area until they can be placed in the exhibit. Plants are rotated every two weeks and only three trees are permanent fixtures of the garden; everything else changes. To maintain this near-perfect garden, the Bellagio employs 129 horticulturists.
The Conservatory sits beneath a 55-foot glass ceiling with winding paths, fountains, and water features. The display changes five times a year: Chinese New Year, Spring Celebration, Summer Garden Party, Harvest Show, and Holiday Show. Each display is more spectacular than the last. This free exhibit is open 24 hours a day and it's interesting to see the garden in the natural sunlight as well as at night with the garden's subtle and serene lighting. Please note that children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
