One of the world's leading engineering firms, Arup was hired to design and construct the exciting project. This multinational company came up with blueprints for a structure that would transform the Las Vegas skyline. In the spring of 2014, the massive Ferris wheel opened to the public. Having a diameter of 520 feet, the High Roller at the LINQ includes 28 capsules that are attached to the main wheel, which rotates on spherical ball bearings. Offering 225 sq feet of interior floor space, each capsule can accommodate up to 40 passengers. The official architectural height of this amusement-style structure is 550 feet. A sophisticated LED lighting system is also integrated into this famous Ferris wheel. The 2,000 lighting could be programmed to glow in different colours. At night, this prominent structure certainly has a dominant effect on the Las Vegas skyline.
