Football and Other Events
Sam Boyd Stadium has been the home ground of the UNLV Rebels football team since opening its doors to the public. Throughout the years, this team has generated a strong fan base throughout the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The Rebels compete in the Mountain West Conference, which has Division I status in the NCAA. After compiling a 7-5 record in the regular 1994 season, the team captured the conference championship. That season remains one of the most successful seasons in the school's football program. In addition to hosting the home games of the Rebels, Sam Boyd Stadium hosts the Las Vegas Bowl. This post-season game has been played at the stadium since 1992. Brigham Young University, the University of Utah and Boise State University are some of the most dominant teams in the bowl's history. To the delight of the local crowd, the Rebels have competed in the annual Las Vegas Bowl several times. Click to buy your Las Vegas monorail pass.Facilities and Amenities
