Rules and Regulations

Vegas Indoor Skydiving has set up some precise guidelines that are primarily based on basic aerodynamics. People within a certain height range must meet the corresponding weight ranges in order to fly successfully. For example, a man who is 6 feet tall must weigh less than 230 pounds to gain entry. A woman of the same height must weigh less than 190 pounds to qualify for participation. Such parameters are calculated based on the center of gravity of a person. If an individual exceeds the maximum weight, he or she won't generate enough aerodynamic lift in the wind tunnel. Kids are allowed to fly at this facility, but there is a minimum weight policy of 40 pounds. Children must also complete brief safety courses under the supervision of their parents of legal guardians. Similarly, adults are required to take the appropriate training before entering the wind tunnel. It's important for all participants to understand some hand gestures and other signals for safety reasons. Of course, the instructors also provide detailed overviews on correct flying techniques. The walls of the wind tunnel are heavily padded with soft materials and compressed air. Participants are also required to wear safety goggles that prevent eye injuries from strong wind gusts and airborne particles.
